Chairman of the Board
Mr. Biglin is co-founder, Chairman of the Board and CEO at APS Technology. He has over 30 years of experience in MWD, LWD and downhole tool design. Mr. Biglin holds numerous patents and was the principal inventor of APS’s patented rotary pulser.
Mr. Biglin started his career as an MWD/LWD field engineer for Teleco Oilfield Services and later joined Teleco’s RD&E department. Mr. Biglin gained international experience managing the engineering and production departments for Baker Hughes’s Asia-Pacific regional repair center in Singapore.
Mr. Biglin has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and an MBA from the University of New Haven.
Non-Executive Board Member
Ms. Karter is a founder and Managing Partner at Mizzen Capital. Prior to launching Mizzen Capital, Ms. Karter held senior management roles with Enhanced Capital in a direct lending fund. Prior to that, she managed several Angel Groups and managed an active consulting practice for small business growth. She served as CFO at Netkey, Inc., and CEO Resource Recovery Systems Inc.
Ms. Karter began her career at Morgan Stanley and Co. Inc. in the investment banking division and currently serves as an independent board member of APS Technology.
Mr. Spears is a co-leader at Spears & Associates for oilfield product and service consulting engagements and is the primary author of the firm’s Oilfield Logix series. After engineering school, he worked as a senior field engineer for Halliburton, designing and running cement, stimulation and completion tool jobs in Western Oklahoma.
Mr. Spears sits on the boards of several privately owned oilfield service companies including APS Technology.
Board Member
Mr. Turner is Director of Software Engineering at APS Technology and has over 25 years of experience in the oilfield industry. He started at APS in the 1990’s developing fiber optic sensors for production monitoring and prior to that worked in hazardous waste site permitting.
Mr. Turner holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.

Executive Vice President
Mr. Weiner has over 20 years at APS Technology.
Mr. Weiner has substantial management and corporate counsel experience in energy and other industries.
Mr. Weiner joined APS Technology in 2002 and served as Vice President and General Counsel at Teleco Oilfield Services through the company’s acquisition by Baker Hughes.
Mr. Weiner has a BA in communications from the University of Wisconsin. JD St. John’s University School of Law.
CFO
Ms. Allana joined APS Technology in October 2021. With over 17 years of finance leadership experience, she has held various leadership roles at Weatherford, focusing on finance, controllership, business operations, supply chain, corporate development, and strategy.
Ms. Allana holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Houston and an MBA from Rice University.
Sr. Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pac
Mr. Bosman joined APS in September 2008 and is based in Dubai where he is responsible for the Asia Pacific / Middle East / North Africa Region and the APS Dubai support centre.
Mr. Bosman started his career in the oilfield services sector in 1988 with Teleco and has since worked for both Baker Hughes and DuPont. His experience includes the testing and product launching of LWD and rotary steerable systems, operations, and product line management.
Mr. Bosman is a graduate of Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand and holds a BSc in Chemistry. He has worked in various international locations and has been based in the Middle East and Asia Pacific since 1993.
Vice President Electrical and Software Engineering
Mr. LaRosa joined APS Technology in 2005 and is responsible for the management, development, and the commercialization of all the electrical, electronics, firmware, and software systems used in APS’s downhole tools and surface equipment.
Mr. LaRosa has more than 30 years of experience in the development of complex electronics and software systems, as well as the design and qualification of electronics systems for use in harsh downhole environments. This includes all of APS’s MWD, LWD, and steering tools, as well as downhole pulsers, battery and turbine power systems, and gamma imaging tools. In addition, Mr. LaRosa brings years of experience in the design, certification, and operation of surface systems for use in C1D1 and C1D2 hazardous locations.
Prior to joining APS, Mr. LaRosa spent 10 years at Teleco Oilfield Services in similar roles as at APS, as well as developing products for use in industrial and commercial emergency power systems and nuclear medicine Gamma imaging systems.
Mr. LaRosa holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut.
Vice President Western Region MWD/LWD Product Line, Chief Petrophysicist
Mr. Deady first joined APS Technology in February of 2010 and was based at the Houston branch providing global product line and petrophysical support.
After receiving a BSc. in Geology in 1981 from Northern Illinois University Mr. Deady began his career with Schlumberger in Oklahoma as a field engineer.
In 1985 Mr. Deady joined Teleco Oilfield Services at their Ventura, California district and was later transferred to Meriden, Connecticut in 1988 as a field test engineer. After the sale of Teleco Mr. Deady worked as a project petrophysicist for Baker Hughes INTEQ primarily in support and development of LWD nuclear services. In 1996 Mr. Deady joined Halliburton as a product champion to lead the commercial introduction of LWD acoustic services and later was posted in Jakarta, Indonesia to provide support for all LWD services throughout the Asia/Pacific region. Mr. Deady returned to Houston in 2000 to work in technical and global product line management roles for Halliburton’s Sperry Drilling Services product line until 2009. Recently, Mr. Deady was employed by Prime Downhole Technology as their VP of Technology and later as president of their Tensor Drilling Technologies subsidiary. After the sale of Tensor in 2022 Mr. Deady returned to APS in his current role.
Vice President Business Development
Mr. Brown has over 30 years of experience in a variety of engineering, applications engineering, sales, operations and product line management positions in the downhole drilling tool business with Reed Tool Company, Andergauge Drilling Systems and National Oilwell Varco.
Mr. Brown was active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Association of Drilling Engineers, where he served on the technical program committee and held leadership positions for many years.
Mr. Brown joined APS Technology’s Houston office in 2006. He is principally responsible for the management of Western Region Sales and certain key national accounts.
Vice President Eurasia and China
Mr. Spiridonov joined APS Technology in 2014 and is currently responsible for the company business in the Eastern Hemisphere.
Mr. Spiridonov started his career in 2004 as an assistant driller and has experience in drilling optimization, mud logging, wireline logging services, drilling tools product line management, MWD/LWD/RSS products sales and support.
Mr. Spiridonov is a graduate of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas n/a Gubkin, Moscow, and MBA (Strategic management) at Kingston University, London.

Country Manager China
Mr. Wharam joined APS in January 2023 and is based in Singapore where he is responsible for APS’s China operations, sales, and R&M.
Mr. Wharam started his oilfield career over 20 years ago with Andergauge in Aberdeen, and Norway. He has extensive Asia experience having held management roles in China for almost a decade with Andergauge and NOV before moving into regional positions with both TAM International and Rival Downhole Tools covering Asia Pacific.
Mr. Wharam’s technical knowledge covers directional drilling and intervention tools, drilling optimization and product line management. He is a graduate of St. Andrews University, Scotland and holds a general MA covering economics and management.
Vice President RD&E
Mr. Makselon is the Vice President of Research, Development, and Engineering (RD&E) at APS Technology. He brings over 20 years of experience in the design, development, and commercialization of innovative technologies within the Oil & Gas industry.
Before joining APS Technology, Mr. Makselon held various roles in Engineering, Sales, and Business Development Management at NOV, where he honed his expertise in developing and bringing disruptive technologies to market.
Mr. Makselon holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and an MBA in Global Energy from the University of Houston.
